The worst moment of the Browns game

I still can't let this loss go. So here's one of the tougher polls ever on B&G

dizzle88 10-25-2010 10:16 AM

Either seeing the forklift sized hole open up on the fake punt, brees thinking he was wearing a brown jersey and orange helmet or just realizing the game was well outta reach and choosing to turn the game off and play basketball instead!

saintsfan1976 10-25-2010 10:22 AM

Watching this team regress from the previous week was the worst. Started with the first three & out and just got worse from there... But the fake punt that almost yielded a TD was the epitome of the day.

neugey 10-25-2010 10:27 AM

1st and 35 was a close second, but I had to vote for the fake punt. Seeing their punter run wide open down the length of the field was one of the most helpless moments I've ever felt as a Saints fan. It looked like some kind of a bad halftime ceremony, just a nightmare.

Looked like going thru the motions.

Crusader 10-25-2010 10:53 AM

I would actually say the Moore TD. That changed the whole game.

73Saint 10-25-2010 11:00 AM

Watching that poor chain guy's head bounce on the ground after Roby plowed into him.

Am I the only one that saw what looked like Roby giving him a little extra forearm on impact? I know it's all happening fast, but it seemed like maybe he was taking out some of his frustration with the game on the poor fat man on the sideline....

Agreed. Huge momentum shift after that. If that TD stands, the Saints possibly win the game, because they were in a rhythm on that drive. I can't remember if it was the next play or what when Drew threw the pick to Fujita, but it killed their momentum and the offense played flat the rest of the game.

If you can't afford anything else, better pay attention

That guy, as my mother used to say "had his finger up his butt, and his mind in Arkansas." I mean, I feel bad for him, but any fool that is standing, squatting, or taking pictures on the sideline, needs to keep their eyes on the game, or a guy that weighs 250 pounds and who's running 30 mph might roll over you.

I think the forearm was just a self-preservation mechanism, a reaction more than anything, not a well-thought-out thing.

Good point. I hadn't thought about it that way.

The fake punt broke our backs in my opinion. Our special teams coach came with Payton when he first came to NO. I think he may have to let him go just like he did when he fired his friend the defensive coordinator Gibbs. Outside of Roby we don't have any thing special about special teams.

To me it was Meechem quitting on that pass. It's just a symbol for this whole season so far.

st thomas 10-25-2010 12:58 PM

lance moore could have stopped turned and still caught up with the punter. he could have ended the mans punting career. he missed bad. saint's had a bad day, i had a bad day, i'm mad bad. it'll get better.

jlouhill 10-25-2010 02:18 PM

I heard Cleveland's punter is changing his name. He will now be referred to as Moses.
I'm sure something hasn't opened up like that since...well y'all know the story.

that got a smile out of me. first one since pregame show before kickoff.lol

nogumbo4u 10-25-2010 04:16 PM

Add one more to your choices:

Fujita getting traded to Cleveland.

I understand 1 million factors went into our loss but, my opinion, he's not a Brown, we win yesterday's game.

I have to admit, I do enjoy watching the bandwagoneers jumping for their lives.

:bng:

They're not jumping ... the reckless driving is throwing them overboard :-)

nicebush25 10-25-2010 05:24 PM

My vote is for the pass from Cribbs to Mcoy for a 1st down.

Beastmode 10-25-2010 05:46 PM

There's soo many it's hard to pick but I'm going with the Jenkins pass interference.

He could have made a play on that pass but refused to turn his head around or even make a veiled attempt. They are going to call that every time so you might as well turn your head around, especially that close to the end zone. I saw him saying something after the play. I hope he wasn't questioning the call because it looked like a a textbook PI example.

DblBogey 10-25-2010 09:17 PM

The opening kickoff, what more can I say!

That was Hillis with the pass, but still it was a back-breaker.

The only one i noticed was the long one down the sideline landed on the 5. That made sick. I almost quit watching.

QBREES9 10-25-2010 11:11 PM

There are just to many. Ok we need to move on. The Saints have the Steelers coming in this Sunday.

KICKOFF!

SapperSaint 10-26-2010 09:05 AM

I can deal with INT's to a certain point but the fake put run for 2,000 yrds (What it seemed like) just killed me.

And after about ten yards the guy was looking for an excuse to fall down. :D

skymike 10-26-2010 05:19 PM

This loss is all my fault. I wasnt able to watch it.

Last year, I missed the 1st half of the Dolphins game.

What does that tell you?

CheramieIII 10-26-2010 05:52 PM

I picked other because every moment of the game was vomit time!

st thomas 10-26-2010 09:53 PM

the biggest team bomb in paytons era?

Saint-Paul 10-27-2010 03:44 PM

I think that while walking up to the Dome, while riding the 420 cloud, it was evident the fans didn't show up to this game either. There was no energy, at least I knew I didn't show up, but the fan energy was nowhere and the team's energy was pathetic. Plain and simple: we looked past the browns, just like we looked past the cardinals...and that is all Payton's fault.

Dude had to be coaxed by his teammates to keep running...C'mon Man! I voted for the 68 yard fake punt. That was like a dagger. We are supposed to be the king of trickemology and they pull something like that. On us? People were standing around like ...WTF? even in the stands. It was like the thief coming home with the loot and finds that he has just been cleaned out. He can't even call the cops. Where do we file a complaint against Cleveland? Who do they think they are?
