"Chicken Little Epidemic" now in full swing

I find it somewhat funny that so many truely believe that the "sky is falling" lol..Lessen the turnovers; Are most still freaking out?I'm believing these turnovers will not be as frequent as they have been, and especially coming at the worst possible times as they have lately!A fluke? I repeat, a Fluke??NO FLIPPING WAY!!!!

boonedocksaint 10-26-2010 05:09 PM

last year was not a fluke. we just arent the same team this year. it all starts with brees. he has to be better, or we cant succeed.

saintfan 10-26-2010 05:18 PM

I can only say I've been worried about this team since game two. We just aren't playing with any urgency. My concerns are not recent. I'm not quite sure the sky is falling just yet, but each week I keep looking for some sort of indication that the team has it figured out - and Tampa not withstanding, so far they have not.

skymike 10-26-2010 05:20 PM

You are what your record is. (who said that?)

But Cleveland sure does have a hell of a defense.

exactly, mike. this team reminds me of all those many .500 teams we've had in the past.

Rugby Saint II 10-26-2010 05:29 PM

I'm having chicken for dinner. Here chic chic. Here chic chic.;)

Pete 10-26-2010 05:45 PM

yeah but the rookie QB's didn't beat us, turnovers did. In the 2 loses there were 4 defensive scores against us plus 2 special team breakdowns that put the opposing team's offense inside the 10 yard line.

Pete 10-26-2010 05:56 PM

I'll go with that magic, but as I had posted in another thread the browns won only 11 games combined in the last 3 years.3 of those wins were against the defending superbowl champs. The rookie QB situation does suck but still in all the turnovers are killing us! Self inflicted wounds is what I believe

CheramieIII 10-26-2010 05:59 PM

We lost to Cleveland? We lost to Cleveland? Let me say that one more time, We lost to Cleveland? No, the sky isn't falling but it's damn sure raining golf ball sized hail on me and I can hear the Tornado coming.

Ok, too funny.
Love ya, Cheramie.
Yessss,I am alil bit worried about the Saints.
I KNOW they will tighten up and pull ahead.

Playoffs!
Playoffs!
What Playoffs!
Playoffs!

Opps,sorry...trip down memory lane there.

All I want is for them to do like last year and that is focus and prep and win one game at one time.
After Jan.2,well,that is too far to think about which team will be still standing.

Speaking of standing, Romo-out.
Farve-out.

Next thread. I have a few words to say on these two subjects.

Pete 10-28-2010 07:37 PM

It may not be as bad as I initially thought:bng:

QBREES9 10-28-2010 10:48 PM

If you followed the team since preseason you will remember that the offense was struggling even then. It seams like every report I heard coming out of camp was about how the defense won and the offense just straight up did not click.

Now that i think about it, that is actually true.. I disregarded it as just the offense was just playing lax and GW's D was just trying to be extra aggressive..
But it looks like our Offense has really been sliding with every game, we've had only a couple of flashes of good offense this entire regular season, it looks like somebody hit the lights and forgot to turn em back on.
Drew's off and i heard he was throwing INT's in Training Camp as well and having balls batted down, i didn't hear anything significant from our backs other than Ivory..
Man i don't want to panic but this is disturbing me so im not going to think about it anymore and just see what happens after this game, if we lose like we've been losing then i am going to just say this season is a wash, if we lose in a reasonable way, then i say we are just struggling because we have some key injuries out that teams are exploiting and our D is being overworked, if we pull a W out of this i will be ecstatic going to Carolina to collect a Division win to step back up top of the Division totem pole.

Reminds me of the Steelers last year. They lost to Oakland, KC, and 1-11 Cleveland. Defending the SB trophy is very hard.

Both the Saints this year and the Steelers last year suffered key injuries and frankly, I think these teams lose some hunger after winning it. And as others have stated elsewhere, you get everyone's best game.

I'm not giving up on my Saints and even if we aren't playing like we were last year or have the potential this year, WE WILL snap out of it. However, if I get one more text from a Dolts fan or a Ben Raper fan, I may snap and need someone to get me out of jail :handguns:

I wasn't saying that, but it's human nature to relax after achieving your goals, especially with today's pampered athletes.

Moreso, though, there's just a lot of randomness in the NFL from year to year. Outside of the Colts, who win 12 every year, injuries, bounces, schedules, etc. don't go the same way from year to year. I would venture there's not a ton of difference between most 6-10 and 11-5 teams. You could probably point to one key play in several games that could turn your season one way or the other.

That's why you have to savor SB championships like you won't see one again for a while.

st thomas 10-29-2010 03:03 PM

the sky is not falling, yet

Pete 10-29-2010 11:44 PM

My Falcons still arent playing complete games yet. With a Saints win this weekend and then a Falcons/Saints game still to come all is not lost. The Saints have got to establish a running game or people will just sit and wait for the pass. Brees isnt helping himself with the turnovers but its definitely not all his fault. He is trying to make something happen.

Pete 10-31-2010 10:49 PM

ALL ABOARD!!!!!

Pete 10-31-2010 10:56 PM

Did I mention we're gonna kick the Falcunts ass next go round!31-17 Superbowl score!

Pete 12-19-2010 09:55 PM

Bump

CashAndFlash 12-19-2010 10:31 PM

We still have no sense of urgency. When the game was on the line today, we didn't show up.

Pete 12-19-2010 10:38 PM

I believe we should send Reggie Bush to the falcons. He can't even outrun Shanle!

CashAndFlash 12-19-2010 10:42 PM

you guys are *****s....

pherein 12-19-2010 10:44 PM

In that order ? I'm wouldn't presume to tell Drew to kiss your ass after it had already been kissed by Shanle and bush . I think drew would go 1st, then bush followed by shanle.

Pete 12-19-2010 10:46 PM

Drew Brees isn't worth speaking of...BUM

Pete 12-19-2010 10:58 PM

Our record should be 2-12 @ this point and time. That's how turrible we've played this season!

CashAndFlash 12-19-2010 10:59 PM

Pete 12-19-2010 11:03 PM

I bet Hartley never tries to kick with his eyes closed again!LOL that hurt..

Should we attach Jimmy Graham to Reggies trade?he'll never amount to anything either IMHO!I think we'd get a good deal..a 6th AND a 7th rounder!!

skymike 12-20-2010 06:27 AM

At least we have our health.

sorta.

wft is wrong with Greer?

hitta 12-20-2010 06:29 AM

We couldn't stop the run today at all, and still almost won the game. Things happen, Payton and Williams are good coaches, they'll straighten them out.

darstep 12-20-2010 06:49 AM

What we saw was not some new phenomena that suddenly showed up in week 15. We've played hot and cold ALL season. There has been no consistency in any part of our game - NONE! Even the wins were somewhat shakey. I'm not surprised or upset by this loss to the Ravens. I wouldn't be surprised if we crush the Falcons next week and once again look like the best team in the NFL. That's what we are this season. I am still waiting for us to put together a total game and it just hasn't happened yet. Sooner than later would be preferrable.
