Damn i miss home but when i go out there it's eating all over the place..
One of my favorite unappreciated little hideouts is "The Trolley Stop" restaurant, Ironically at.. the trolley stop lol.. It's off St Charles, very good eatery there and priced Nicely, very hearty helpings of anything and everything.. Mother's is A MUST GEAUX!!! I think Atlanta people have caught on, last couple of games i went to for College and Pro Georgia folks were in the very lengthy lines that form there, the food is too damn good.. GET THERE EARLY! Dookey Chase Restaurant is a must if this is going to be one of very few trips to New Orleans, don't leave without eating at Legendary Dookey Chase @ 2301 Orleans Avenue If your walking around and want the best damn lunch you ever had in your life, this may be odd but go to Central Grocery for a muffuletta i still have all of their info : 923 Decatur St., New Orleans, LA 504-523-1620 LOL! i never leave New Orleans without getting a Muffuletta and they do it the best in the city IMO, i think it was actually started there. of course your going to want seafood so Drago's is great, right off Poydras, pick up some food before the game there. Deanies is good and cheap, it's off Iberville st Acme Oyster is EXCELLENT!!!!! a bit pricey though but if your budget isn't tight.. Here's the Menu http://www.acmeoyster.com/images/pdf...nchquarter.pdf If the French quarter one is too packed go to the Metairie one, people there are nice, but you wont get the ambiance of the french quarter sadly, Metairie is simply another Suburb Steadford city but it's an extension of New Orleans so it's all good. Red Fish Grill will have you slappin ya momma double time! Google them! .. I would recommend Galatoire but lately it's been subpar.. check it out if you want but i'd pass on it.. not bad. ________________________________________ Now Tailgating is no longer a big issue, The Benson Family and SMG teamed up with Verizon to create Champion Square right across from the Superdome!.. DO NOT PASS THIS UP! it's a Fan-fair basically, Live bands, Food all over the place, WHo Dats and Rival fans all in one spot of worshipping our team.. It's turning into an Eye Candy spot in the Downtown area, Large LCD screens, games for kids, merchants, music, other entertainment and it's constantly growing. But if you don't want to be over there, just head out to Bourbon street, do go to far out.. _________________________ Touring.. Go to the WW2 D-Day Museum, Riverwalk, Harrahs, City Park (VooDoo Fest will be going on and it is MASSIVE!!!!! VOODOO EXPERIENCE | WORSHIP THE MUSIC | OCT 29·30·31, 2010 ) Just check out the lineup Go to House of Shock in Metairie!! if your into Scare houses and don't have a weak heart.. It has been rated the most extreme Scare house in the nation on Travel Channel, Discovery Channel and various other Media outlets and magazines.. Metairie Christians have been trying to shut it down forever, it's going 20+ years strong. |

Food??? Just walk in anywhere... you wont be disappointed
Pre Game till about 4 or 430... We always go to the "Beach on Bourbon".. 300 or 400 block of Bourbon... Lots of Saints and opposing fans show up.. they play all Saints related music... a roving Mic keeps everyone involved Then as others have stated start heading towards the dome.. just follow the crowds.. easy walk. Champions Square is awesome.. live music and tons of fans... Post game... i dont know... just head back into the quarter and see what you run into... Haloween night... it will be crazy.... ok crazIER |
