Pierre Thomas hobbled into the Saints' locker room on crutches Thursday, keeping weight off his sprained left ankle and sounding perplexed about why his recovery is going so much slower than he'd hoped.
"I really don't know what's the whole problem. Everybody keeps saying it's a sprain or maybe a little tear there," Thomas said. "I don't know for sure if that's true. I'm hearing so many different stories. I don't know what to believe." Thomas, the Saints' leading rusher in 2009, accounted for 280 total yards from scrimmage and one touchdown rushing in the Saints' first three games of this season. His injury occurred while he was being tackled late in the fourth quarter of a Week 3 overtime loss to Atlanta. Thomas returned for the extra period in that game and gained 23 yards on a screen. You can't fake X-ray's, i wish you could so i could get out of work sometimes.
And yes, i do believe it's above time to place him on IR.. it's time to move on, if he don't know, that means the doctors don't know, and if he's in more pain than the doctors think he should be in, then there's probably more to it. |

I have a hard time believing he is faking it, but who knows these days. I love PT and I believe he is an asset to the team and I don't want to see him go. It just doesn't feel right without him out there. If $$ will make him feel better than send around the collection plate, I can afford a couple of dollars.

I remember the roll-up tackle and no, I seriously doubt he's faking it. PT seems like a pretty up front and straight-talkin fellow. I would image he's frustrated just like we are.
And, if he ain't gonna be back on the field any time soon it may be time to bust a move...or something... |

I was hoping we would have picked up LT when we had the chance but I was fine with passing him over. There was no way anybody could have forseen us losing 2 starting RB's and 2 backups.
