It doesn't look as if the running game will be up to speed for the big Halloween night game with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Running backs Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush have officially been listed as out for the NBC Sunday night game.
While Bush did return to the practice field this week, not enough advancement was done in his rehab in order to get him ready for game action. Breesus better be on his game. This one is going to be on his shoulders. Ivory can play, but the Steelers defense is stout against the run. Gotta use the pass to open up the run.
I believe in you Drew! If you pick these guys apart we WILL win!!! |

I still feel we are going to win this game. I believe that even though the Saints are a bit depleted as far as starters go, do not forget New Orleans totally annihilated Tampa Bay, the supposed "best team in the NFC." I imagine that Sean Payton has given a lot of thought to this game and he will probably dial up a few surprise plays. I realize that Chris Ivory and Ladell Betts aren't Reggie Bush and Pierre Thomas, but they're darned good runners. I predict that the Saints will be able to limit the Steelers' run game which will force Pig Pen to throw the ball. The only thing I'm concerned about is whether we will get at least one of our elite corners back (Jabari or Tracy).

One more thing: whenever Drew Brees has a lousy game, he always follows it up with an exceptional one.

Im so already looking forward to Carolina game.. We are just in the line of a Freight Train with this one guys, if Brees activates his Superman powers we might be able to suppress the inevitable.
