The reason our defense has looked so well
The secondary has looked amazing, but in truth I think the real reason for the success on defense has been improved play of our d-line and linebackers; able to dictate the game and stop the run. The corners that we throw in there look good, because unlike last year when Greer and Porter went down, we don't have to cheat up on the run.

Until last night, our corners and safeties were lead tacklers every week. That's why they are always hobbling and banged up. Last night, does not a trend make. Coverage is real easy when we blitz and are only exposed for 2.2 seconds. The run-D was much improved and I was glad to see it. If our run-D continues to keep our opponents in 3rd and long (a trend), we will continue to see good results from our d-backs, even the level 2/3 guys. The defense has done its job all season. Hats off for the D. If we start scoring some points, we will be scarey once again.
