The Next 7 Games - Your Prediction??
Sea-chickens after a bye week and @ home.
@ Dallas @ Cincy St. Louis @ Baltimore @ Atlanta Tampa ----------------------- Can we go 7-0? |
yeah one game at a time.
|
I know, I know... And I hate polls LOL.
Objectively speaking - and considering we'll be healthy AND clicking - I could see a 6-7 win streak. |
Alright - you guys don't play for the team so JUST VOTE!! LOL
|
I vote 6-1, only loss I could see possibly is at Baltimore.
I thought about voting 5-2, but after seeing Atl struggle w/ TB today; I think we got that game as long as we stay healthy. |
5-2, Baltimore and an off-day.
NFCS Champs, round 1 bye, Saints beat Pack in NFCCG and beat Pittsburgh again in the Superbowl |
Lots of important road games. Bal & Atl will be very difficult and as badasthe pokes have been, they are still a talented team and have done really well in that thxg time slot. Cincy is very dangerous- about as complete a passing team as we face all season.
I do wonder about the lapses in concentration at home most, and we have some trap games! |
has jinx written all over it.. not going to touch it..

Giants, Falcons, Eagles, Packers all battling for HFA. Toughest games for each team: ATL - Bal, GB and Saints NYG - Min, Philly, GB (Skins twice) PHI - NYG, Min (Dal twice) GB - Min, ATL, NE, NYG NO - Cincy, Bal, ATL Philly seems to have the easiest remaining schedule. |
I think the Baltimore game is goingto be hard, and cincy in cincy will be cold. The game against Atlants might be for the divy. I think 5-2, 6-1 would be awesome!
|
The real key, obviously, is the ATL game. We can't afford another conf or div loss.
The Cincy and Balt games will be tough, but we aren't hurt as bad if we lose one of those. 6-1 we win the division, 5-2 we get WC, 4-3 is a big maybe. |
5-2 at the minimum for me. I think road games in Cincy and Baltimore could be a possible hiccup. The better team doesn't always win.
|
One game at a time.
Gotta be cos you don't know which personnel we have in any given week. What if we get all our injureds back. What if Brees goes down. But you want an opinion you get one. Atlanta and Baltimore look the harder games ON PAPER. Seattle looks a poor team. The other are not particularly brilliant. |

If we "play down to the competition" and lose to the Cowgirls
I am going to be madder than HELL. |
its not baltimore i'm concerned about its st.louis. trappppppppppppp

I don't think so. The Rams are playing well enough to be taken seriously. It's the Bucs the second time around I'm thinking about... |
I voted 6-1.
I see our game against B-More being a battle to the end. |
I think we're going to hit a road block with Baltimore

Seattle, Dallas, and Cincy worry me the most of the games we should win, in that order. |

Dallas has been in every game (aside from the last two). They worry me more. Cincy has us sandwiched in between the Jets and Ravens. WIN |
Baltimore is a definate possibility. Throw in one more trap game and we're looking at 5-2. If we get our act together we could be 6-1. Possibly a sweep to the playoffs, but I'm not counting on it.

5-2
Seattle - Home Game... Bye Week... Reggie... Sharper... We Roast Birds. WIN
Dallas - Normally a team would love to host the Thanksgiving Day Game... Not Dallas. Jerry Jones will probably fire himself after this BBQ of the Cowboys. WIN By this point the word "winning streak" will be alive in our lexicon and unfortunately the Saints will once again become overconfident and stop taking it "one game at a time." Cincinnati - Saints arrive in Cinci overconfident and a bit suprised at how cold it is. TO looked amazing yesterday and he seems to have the ability to arouse his team to bring out the fight in them. (like D. Sharper) If they can start working Ochocinco into the mix like they have been with TO, then this will be a very good game. On the road + Cold + Overconfident = TRAP LOSS St. Louis - Saints, happy to be a home, drowning in humidity, and somewhat sobered up from the Cinci loss, pull together and rock the dome with 60 Mins of well fought football. Look for this to be a good game: The Rams always play the Saints well in the dome. But, we will bring the ram to slaughter. WIN Baltimore - One of the best games of the season. Saints will play the powerhouse well but will loose due to sloppyness and Baltimore's home field advantage. LOSS The last two games are division games and the Saints will dominate both: Atlanta - My only concern is that we play them on the road. The Falcons play good ball in Atlanta, and this will probably be the most important game of the season. In the end, our D immobilizes them and we pull away with a decisive WIN. Tampa Bay - Please... Last Game... At Home... A division win in the Last Season Game could very well determine playoff placement and contention. As long as it doesn't come down to a Harley Field Goal we'll take the Division and come close to a NFC Championship... If not grind out a 2Dat in Dallas. |
We will go 7-0 and win each game by a fifty burger. Any of you who voted otherwise in the poll are not real Saints fans. How dare you disrespect the Black and Gold by thinking they will lose a game you bandwaggoners. Go eat some juicy fruit and tacos.

I have had a bad feeling about Cincy all year. They are a much better team than their record shows and will have nothing to lose. I think thats the only one we lose from here on out. Baltimore wont be as tough as we think.
|
your last quote will be so right. it will determine where we play, unless the clowns have a huge breakdown sometime between now and the time we roast the stinky birds

I could see 7-0 |
Can I change my vote? After the pathetic display Baltimore put on tonight, we can EASILY go 7-0.

I am a hardcore, dyed in the wool "one game at a timer," with Atlanta being the most "one game at a time" of them all.
BUT I think that, if our offensive line SHOWS UP and plays manly, and if the Saints go into a game with less than 2-3 injuries on each side of the ball, and IF our special teams don't lay an egg, we have a very legitimate shot to beat ANY team in the NFL, any day, at home, on the road, any team, period. I am starting to think that a lot of the "what's wrong with Brees?" "what's wrong with the Saints?" "what's wrong with Hartley?" stuff from earlier in the year was over-analyzed, over-thought, and over-panicked. Myself included in that. Time and again, I've looked back at what went wrong, and decided the key is the O-line playing with authority, and them owning the game. Brees plays better when they do that. The run game is better. Hartley even KICKS better! He doesn't rush or lose concentration, thus shanking it, if he doesn't have opposing guys running right in his face. So to recap: - O-line shows up and plays manly - no more than 2 key injuries on either side of the ball - our dangerously bad special teams don't lay an egg I think the defense has proven it can take care of itself. And if those 3 things above happen, then the offense takes care of itself, and we win whatever it is we need to win. |

One game at a time, of course. That said, one more reason Cincy will be tough to beat is that they have 4 extra days to prepare and rest after a Thursday game the week before. I think that is the most likely loss for us, though all the road games are going to be tough.
