Coming in from NJ for the Seattle game and have a few questions
We're coming in for the Seattle game and haven't been there in 2 years. I'm hearing about Champion's Square a lot and would love to check it out. What time does it open, and what can we expect?
Also, since we have front row seats for the first time, we are wondering when the dome will actually open so we can head in and check out warm ups? Do any of the boys stop and sign autographs during pre game, and if so where is the best spot to be for that? Oh, and what's the policy in the dome about bringing in a small sign/banner to hang over the wall where we are sitting? |

Brick, NJ (Ocean County)........about 10 minutes from where they film that horrific TV show that ruined the reputation of the New Jersey Shore.
We are NOT like that around here! The tourists come in and invade in the summer. |

There's a Champion Square thread.
However the times it's open is about 3-4 hours before kickoff and a couple of hours after the games are over.. At least thats what was told to me from security around the dome at the time.. I advice you to check out the Champion Square thread for Video's information and chat and discussions your questions may already be addressed. |

Just some general info on Champions Square. Others refer to a separate thread and I am sure you will find a lot if informatin there
If you have been here before you will recall the bridge linking the Dome to the old Hyatt and shopping center. That bridge was torn down and there are now steps leading to the dome. In addition, many of the retail store fronts were demolished. What remains is a large square, decorated with palm trees, pictures of Drew Brees and major events in the Dome's history (Ali fight e.g.). Then there are beer stands and food stands all around. The center piece is a large band stand where there is always a great band playing pre-game. Saints Cheerleaders are dancing on platforms sprinkled throughout.... Thousands of fans gather and its just a great time and place for a pre-game. Enjoy |

There are two parts of NJ The North and The South below the Raritan River Bridge. They might as well be two different states. I came from The North not far from NYC people up there are natural born haters. I will be in NOLA for The Seattle game as well visiting my daughter at Tulane. Strange, have been a Saints fan since 1981 and this will be the first time I have set foot in Louisiana. Every Saint game I have been to are away games DC, Baltimore, Philly & NY.

Was just there for the Steelers game (via Camden Co.) and the advice I got from the fellas here was spot on!
Champion's Square- OK about 1.5 to 2 hrs ahead of time. Takes the place of tailgating any day in my book. If you get in about 45 mins before kick off, you'll have plenty of time to watch warm ups. Not sure about getting autographs tho. |
