Latest word is severely bruised ribs, thankfully nothing broken or at least it's being reported as nothing broken...

You have him on your fantasy team?
We have a bye and he should be healthy by then... if not, Thomas and Graham should have no problems producing if he's not able to go. It's nice to have 3 quality TE's and a quarterback that can make anyone look good. |

Shockey is an injury waiting to happen. As much as I like him I think he should consider retiring after this season..

With all his injuries it's hard to believe in 3 years he's only missed 6 games. He'd probably be in better shape if the Giants would have found some more weapons. A TE should not be getting 900yds in a season and with him there is no ducking for cover.
I'm glad they are using other TE's because it's almost money he's not going to go the distance and could be out for a critcal game, which is pretty much all of them until Atlanta cools off. |

Anyone remember Cam Cleeland? He was actually a great TE, when he was healthy, which was never. Blocking, catching, running seams, middle routes, plus almost always getting hit in the legs. TE is probably the most dangerous position on offense in my opinion.

Wasn't that Cam "Achilles" Cleeland? What a career he 'could' have had.

Sorry, Saintpaul25, I erased all memory of the Saints prior to '09-'10!
And I've been with them since '67! One thing for sure. Shockey has been in some serious pain or if not, taking some serious pain medication and not training. That's one painful injury. God forbid he got a sneezing or coughing fit! OUCH. Hope to see him a again soon, though. Alaska |

Yea if Shockey has to miss any time I like what I'm seeing out of big Jimmy Graham. The U in Miami just has a way of putting big, strong tight ends in the nfl.
