As the man, in a domestic situation, you can only do what is necessary to keep from getting killed...and that's the truth, and even then you 're likey screwed. If she's hitting you, the best bet is to leave. You cannot hold her back, grab her arms, push her away...none of that. Women that attack their significant others in such a way are well aware of that too...believe dat.

Smith allegedly grabbed her by the hair and began pulling her down the street. His wife received only minor injuries, the news release said.

According to a news release from the Lafayette Police Department, Smith was arrested shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday morning in the 300 block of Jefferson Street, after police officers observed him arguing with his wife.
