Guess we shouldn't have been so quick to laugh at Dallas & Minny
We could end up tied for the best record in the league and STILL be a 5 seed And with the only other dome teams outside the South stinking up the place, we have to rely on Tampa Bay, Carolina, and Seattle to keep us from having to play in the snow this January.
The only other possibility that keeps us indoors is a very long shot! We beat Rams in the 4-5 Wildcard game 6 seed beats 3 seed We beat falcons in the second round in a 5-2 match up 6 seed beats 1 seed Then we come back home for an all wildcard team NFC Championship As if that's not improbable enough, it also means Eagles or Bears, to get that number 1 seed, can't lose again! The one sliver lining, the 6 seed will probably be GB or NY, so at least that could be a rivalry game, and seed rankings could be less relevant. |

Dang it! Just realized Philly and Chicago play each other TODAY! So we can only ride one horse in the hopes to keep ATL out of that number 1 playoff seed, assuming their only loss the rest of the year will be to us.

Alot of games left to play, that's for sure. Anything is possible at this point. Pittsburgh went to the playoffs as a wild card, and won the superbowl. Arizona went to the play offs with an 8-8 record, hit stride, and went all the way to the superbowl. Crazier things have happened. And we are a great road team, so as long as we get in, I'm confident about our chances.

As others have said, we have to take it one week at a time. Atlanta gets to play Carolina twice plus Seattle later this season. So I don't see them taking a major skid but who knows. Anything can happen any weekend. We need to worry about ourselves and play solid ball. Everything else will work itself out.

Atlanta's win today was huge for them. Even if we win out, ATL still gets the division if they do the same:
Head-to-head Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the division. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference. They beat 'zona and Clev, we beat Pitt. Gives them the 1 game edge |
