Close games / come from behind wins
So many callers into Hebert and Deke yesterday acted like we lost the game. Personally, I think it's these types of close, come from behind games that makes the team stronger and makes them believe in themselves. Maybe because we were so offensively dominant last year and because we won the SB, some fans forget about some of the adversity we had to overcome: Falcons, Dolphins, Redskins, Jets. It was NOT an easy season, but the Saints made it seem easy. I think a team needs games like these to help them overcome the strong teams in the post-season. WhoDat!

Yes, good to get this kind of experience for the Saints on the road and in the cold. We'll have a chance again in Baltimore in a few weeks.
Could pay dividends if we end up traveling to a Chicago, New York or Green Bay in the postseason. |

If I were a Falcons fan, I'd be using the same reasoning too. Hopefully our matchup at the end of the season will end the same way.

The one thing that is bugging me the past couple of weeks is that we are giving up big leads and that's what makes the games so close.
NOW we are showing we are a veteran team by making the plays when it counts, but if we give up another 17 point lead to the wrong team we could be in trouble, we've got to be aggressive, stay disciplined and STAY AHEAD!!!! Don't get me wrong, I love that we are winning, but we have got to stop hurting ourselves and letting teams back in the game. |

Well we're getting healthy, Drew is playing much better and the offense is starting to click. Things are coming together at just the right time. We just need to shore up the special teams play and cut down on the penalties and we'll be fine.

Good teams should beat poor teams convincingly. How you win is important. It kind of shows what you are really made of. Is this who we are? Are we better than what we've showed? or is this as good as it gets and we should just keep our fingers crossed that we keep playing undisciplined or very generous teams? I'm thinking that we need to tighten it up.
