The one in the 2nd quarter that was intercepted yesterday, was on the 6th straight passing play in a row. The Rams dude was watching Drew all the way.

The big one in the Dallas game, was a similar type of deal. It came after a Jones running play, but there were at least 4 or 5 consecutive passes in a row just BEFORE that. So the Cowboys were probably thinking pass.

It is my opinion that SOME of these interceptions are happening when the playcalling gets a little pass happy, and teams that have studied the Saints will say to themselves, "okay, this is the part of the game where the Saints are going to be passing like crazy now," and they just sit back and wait for it.

The one in the 4th quarter yesterday, was just that play we always do, where Drew sorta runs around on the goal line or in his own end zone, and something REALLY BAD always happens. Intentional grounding for a safety in the NFC Championship game, for example. It happens so often, I will literally see them line up in the shotgun near their own goaline on 3rd down, and I will turn to my friends next to me and say "uh-oh, this is that play where Drew runs around and something bad happens."

Interceptions will always happen, just need to keep it to one or no more than two. No matter who's at fault, just consider the worst two games of the season, the Saints committed 7 interceptions. Those two losses were very ugly, the offense basically gave both games away. Fortunately the Saints cleaned up that area, for the most part. Just think how much of a difference things could be right now if for not those two games that were given away. I know a lot of folks are blaming Hartley for the Atlanta game, and rightfully so, but the games against the Browns and Cardinals to me are the two killers! Now if you want to take it a step further, consider in the three Saints losses they committed 9 interceptions! So, yes, interceptions are a big deal.

I think there is a pattern for some of the worst interceptions -
1. If Drew is a little behind in that game on TDs
2. The opposing QB is doing well relatively.

I hate interceptions. Mainly because

A. They look bad on his stats. (Yeah, I know stats aren't everything, but they just look bad. Deal with it.)
2. They usually lead to scoring opportunities by the opposing team. We've had more than a few times where opponents have scored on one of his INTs, whether they ran it back for a TD or they scored on the next drive.
3. I have him as my fantasy quarterback. Everytime he throws a pick, I lose fantasy points. Right now, I'm second in my league and playoffs are fast approaching. I can't afford to lose.
