this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; How many times have those guys come in here and beat us when we were supposed to kill 'em? Is it possible we get over-confident like the Lion game last year?...

I\'m no more worried about the Falcons than I would be playing any other bad team in the league. I think we all know that anything is possible in this league. This might as well be a playoff game as far as I am concerned. Yeah, it\'s still possible to make the playoffs if we lose, but this is a momentum game. They need to make a statement that they are ready and they need to blow the falcons out!!
The coaches need to show NO mercy and spread the field and throw, throw, throw. On defense, we need to blitz like there is no tomorrow. It\'s time for the real New Orleans Saints to stand up. It starts this Sunday against the Falcons. |

I ALWAYS worry about the Falcons. They play us tough regardless (usually) and even tougher it seems when they play in the Dome. I think we\'re ready for \'em tho. I just have that feeling. We have new carpet to defend!

I don\'t think this game will tell us anything if we win it, even if we blow them out,
BUT, I will speak volumes if we lose it. |

I agree tweeky that it won\'t tell us anything even if we blow them out. I just think it will give them much needed confidence for the second half of the season. Our offense needs to get back to it\'s scoring ways and I see no better opportunity than the game against the falcons. Of course, I\'ll take a win any way we can get it.

The thought of losing to the Falcons is to depressing to think of. We can\'t be overconfident going intop this game. This team has to know to a man that there backs are to the wall and it\'s a fight for survival every week now. The only thing that worries me is, can we stop the run. We\'ve been awful in that department and if anything is going to happen this year that has to get better fast. I would think our game plan on defense will be centered around plugging the middle of the field . If we win and the birds still have a big day on the ground that will be troubling. If we shut them down, I do believe that will be saying something.

Usually I would be worried, but the Falcons are so bad, I don\'t think it is possible for them to \"sneek up\" on us.

I think the Saints will come out with the win. The Saints can\'t lose another game and the Falcons really suck right now. Plus we get Darren Howard and Sedrick Hodge back this week.

The playoffs are on the line with each game, so we have to win the games that we are supposed to win. Losing those games last year was a problem.
We are supposed to win. I want to see us win those games. Simple as that. The fans will learn quite a bit about our team and coaching staff this weekend. |
