The New Orleans Saints will likely enter Sunday's game at Baltimore as underdogs for the first time all season - depending on how the Ravens perform tonight at Houston. But Saints Coach Sean Payton insisted that he won't use the "underdog" edge as motivation for his team.
New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton's team is an underdog for the first time in a while. "We know we're playing a good team, a team with a lot of the same things at stake as we have," Payton said of the 8-4 Ravens, who are chasing the 10-3 Pittsburgh Steelers for the AFC North crown. Payton said Sunday's game will serve as a good test for the Saints heading toward a possible playoff berth, both because of the opponent and the conditions they'll face. For the second time in three weeks, the Saints will have to battle some frigid conditions outdoors at Baltimore.
