I guess I just don't get it...
NFL Network should be renamed NFS (no freakin saints) Network. Maybe I missed something on ESPN - while waiting through hours of "around the league" coverage... And on Yahoo Sports, Let's see... With all due respect, Please put Favre out to pasture - Matt Cassel got his appendix taken out, Aaron Rodgers has a concussion, Mike Vick wants a new dog - The guy on the Cardinals is not smiling, Blah Blah Blah...
How is Rookie of the year CHRIS IVORY'S hamstring? Who just won the Super Bowl? Any game footage from Halloween night? Or from the Cincy game? Did we beat the Rams and that BRADFORD kid everybody's talkin about? I know - I know - "Under the radar" But this is underground. |
I know, we don't exist. We will after our playoff run LOL

Couldn't agree more, NFL Network only talk about the teams who are either prima donna's or have someone called Tom "cry baby" Brady as a player, people forgot about us last year and whilst it is extremely frustrating to have no coverage of our team what so ever, it sure does taste sweet when we prove wrong all the naysayers and are standing in the middle of the field with coach Payton holding the silver ware "tiffany"
They just seem to us every season, im thinking coach Payton would have it no other way however, defending champs and no coverage at all. WE WILL WREAK HAVOC IN THE PLAYOFFS, THE FAILCLOWNS WILL FALL AT OUR HANDS!!! and we will be holding the trophy again!!! |
I notice the same thing. Reminds me of a Modest Mouse song "good news for people who like bad news". They don't talk about the Saints because there is no drama or dirt on the team. Who wants to hear about Ivory or that PT is back other than folks in La. Being the flagship station they should have a more balanced approach but that doesn't get the TV ratings so they harp on Favre and Vick and every soap opera
side show. |
We don't need validation from a weak third party to know how good the Saints are. If you're reading the press clippings, you're not preparing for the game.

Makes sense 504...
|
I've heard more Saints talk on NFLN than any other sports media outlet available.
I don't think you guys listen enough. |

504 is right. What they want to report didn't happen. The biggest story could have been the crumbling of the Superbowl Champs... let's say if we lost 10 games in a row. That didn't happen and wasn't going to happen. There's also this widely accepted understanding that only The Patriots and Belichik can build a dynasty... or the Colts. We have to repeat at some point to be considered a constant threat. |
Sirius does a fine job. They do hit on the big stories but the callers force them to talk about every team. Often when I listen it's an opponent fan crinching about facing the Saints. Today they straight up told a Ravens caller the Saints were a far superior team on every level. And it's not a bunch of armchair QB's like most shows. They know football inside and out.
|
Good thread subject. I was thinking the same myself but thought it must just be me. I must be "missing" the coverage...
It's just tough that you can't get enough of hearing great things about your Saints but there's absolutely NO DRAMA whatsoever! AND NOW WE'RE HEALTHY!! Woooooohhhhooooooo!!! The bottom line --- If ALL teams play to full potential from here on out we are SuperBowol Champs. Period. Alaska |
lookin at your profile pic... Danno... I will listen more.

They are forced to mention us because we are one of two wildcard teams. |
Who gives a ****!!??? WIN games. Just like last season....
|
Holy crap, Danno changed his profile pic! Just kidding bro...
I like the fact that no one is talking about us this week. It takes pressure off of the team going into this game with the Ravens. Besides that, if you want Saints press? Wait til next week..... The seven days leading up to the Falcons game, I have a feeling that's all your going to hear about. I have a strong feeling, it will be the highest rated Monday game all season. |
Irony....
The talking heads on the NFLHD channel yesterday commented on how much no one is talking about the Saints.... Then started talking about them. |
That's OK when we beat their darling Patriots in the Superbowl. What DUMBARSES

Only 4 teams in the NFL currently have a 10-3 or better record.
AFC; Pats(11-2) and Steelers(10-3) NFC; Clowns(11-2) and Saints(10-3) This week's edition of ShowTime's Inside The NFL only casually mentioned the Saints when the "expert panel" was making predictions for this week's games. Warren Sapp was the only one who picked the Saints to beat the Ravens. Pathetic. |
Let them doubt guys! How sweet was it last year, when no one believed in us, and we shoved it down their throats! This team has ALWAYS been an underdog. In many ways, it probably always will be. Embrace it.

I agree. We are the smallest market (in that green-bay caters to all of Wisconsin and large chunks of Illinois we can't even get top picked in Shreveport) Ratings runs the news - not news. Drama makes news but loses games. Lets keep it that way. Two-Dat. |
What else is new? We'd probably have to win 3 in a row to get a quarter of the coverage that Farve has been getting.
|
I can't wait for Favre to actually, really retire.
Maybe then a decade later we'll quit hearing so much about him. Gotta start somewhere. |
The Saints have a good chunk of the Gulf coast as a fan base.
