I don't remember any Saints player doing this. This isn't Cincinnati we're rooting for here.

Here's a scenario.... We beat the ********s, and then the bucs....... The clowns lose to us, and then the Panthers.... We get the division, and homefield advantage throughout, THEN they have to come to our house, if they make it that far..... If I was Roddy White, or a Falcons fan, I would be PRAYING, that doesn't happen.... Praying very hard......

Roddy White apologized early today with a crocodile smile type of apology..

"I'm sorry," the AJC reported White said Thursday. "I wasn't trying to offend anybody about that stuff, especially the city of New Orleans."

"Some people just take things out of context," White said, in reference to his pointed remarks about the Saints which, at the time, seemed to lack the shades of meaning White now imputes to them.

That was not an appology - sorry to say. It was an excuse, Taken out of context... as if he is the victom. An appology would be... I am sorry. I got fired up and sent something over the twitter wire that I should not have. I am a competitive athelete and I amde a mistake. Obviously the defending superbowl chapions deserve respect and it will tkae every thing I have to defeat a worthy opponent.... blah blah blah.

So why would AJC bother to print that?

I dont know which is worse these days... sportmanship or journalism.
