Falcons Set for Immense NFC South Showdown with Saints

New Orleans can punch its ticket to the postseason with a win Sunday in Atlanta or with a loss or tie by both Green Bay and Tampa Bay

(Sports Network) - The Georgia Dome has been more like a Terrordome for visiting opponents with Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan at the helm.

Ryan is an amazing 19-1 in his career at home, where the Falcons are 6-0 this season, and is preparing for the biggest game of the season Monday versus the division-rival and defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints. Ryan helped the Falcons complete a perfect three-game road trip with Sunday's 34-18 victory at Seattle and post their eighth win in row overall.

The former first-round draft pick posted his fourth three-touchdown game of the season by completing 20 of his 35 pass attempts for 174 yards with an interception. Ryan, the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for November, has thrown for a career-high 25 touchdowns this season and has a TD pass in a career-best 13 straight games. He has thrown multiple touchdown passes in eight games in 2010 and owns 32 wins in his first three seasons. Hall of Famer Dan Marino had 33 wins in his first three campaigns.

Good numbers. They are the leader and the prey, we are the persuer. It stirs up more interest and increases the cost of the 30 minute spots when they build up the leader for a fall. I hope Payton has us ready to play solid football.

I am not worried about Payton and our Offense. Falcons D is nothing to worry about.

I am more concerned with our D and GW being ready to lay the smack down.
