Falcons give up some turf to Saints - NFL Nation Blog - ESPN
Here is Pat's article on the game last night, and maybe I am reading it wrong, but it seems like he is saying we shouldn't have won. Well I disagree, defensively we dominated them, dominated them. If not for the two picks this game isn't really in doubt. I stopped saying what if a few years back because it does no good, so we won by 3 points- I accept that. Won by 3, not got a gift, to even suggest that.... My next issue- everyone seems to be hinting at this feeling that this game will somehow lift the Falcons kind of like the game against the Pats did for the Giants a few years ago. I couldn't disagree more and I am not sure how that remotely relates. For the Giants that was a team that had won 15 games and were flying through people. They were the undisputed best team in the league, and they were the away team. The Falcons are suppose to be the best team in the NFC- not us. The Falcons were at home, not away. How does losing a monday night game at home to a team you beat at their building, have a better record then, and are suppose to be superior to amount to an uplifting loss?? In my opinion- their defense can never replicate that performance again. I think ours can, maybe not to the exact same level, but fairly close. We can beat them in the playoffs and we can do it on their home field. If there was a team uplifted by this win- it was the SAINTS. Side note- did anyone see JV's face when Steve Young said we couldn't win it all! |
Your team stinks
