this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Saints should be able to make a nice run if they do not beat themselves. I am really hoping the Bears get knocked out because I really would not like the Saints chances playing in Chicago....

If Green Bay had Finley and Grant healthy, it would have easily been them. Now... no one really. As good as Vick and their explosive weapons are, I just don't think they have the defense to stop us... and the fact our defense isn't too shabby to stop them.

Philly more than any other team but here's the scenario. the Packers play at Philly and we play at the Rams or Seahags. We win for sure. We go and play the Falcons and win again, Philly if they win would have to go to Chitown and either lose to the Packers at home or the Bears in Chicago. We go to Chicago for the NFC Championship and exact a little revenge on the Bears for the beating we took a couple of years ago.

Seriously hoping the Rams take care of business against the Seahawks. As a Saints fan I would much rather play indoors against the Rams instead of that nasty rain palace in Seattle. Neither is a given, I would expect either team to bring their A game against the Saints.

This is my personal thing about the Bears, and "weather" and Soldier Field...I kind of want that game to happen, actually.... I do think it's unfinished business, and I think realistically we actually match up pretty well against them, given what I've seen of them this year. I watched that Jets game and I felt like, yeah okay I know the Jets lost, but we WIN that type of game....
And I just have this feeling in my gut -- I think that Sean Payton has lain in bed at night many times, replaying that game over and over in his head, over and over, thinking about that game from every possible angle --coaching and weather and field conditions and playcalling and fumbles and special teams and EVERYTHING that happened... if he had only done this or done that, what did Lovie do, what could he have done to be better prepared...I'm sure he has. And I kinda feel like, if that game happens, if it comes back around to the Bears and Soldier Field, Payton is going to come out with guns blazing. Weather or no weather. |
