One thing we did by beating Atl at home is make them want to come out and show they are still the team to beat. Unfortunate news for Carolina. I hope John Fox throws everything they have at ATL, if they run the ball well and keep their Quarterback from having to make a play, Atl has a off day (post Saint hangover), maybe we get lucky. We lost our last three going into the playoffs last year, hopefully Atl loses their last two. Stranger things have happened.

IMO, the best hope Saints fans have for a Carolina win is this: Atlanta plays starters and go into halftime with a 14-3 or 17-3 point lead and decide to rest starters in 2nd half.
Carolina continues to play their starters and put together a couple scoring drives and manage to get a turnover and win 17-14 or 20-17. |

Many forget we were an unbeatable 12-3 team THIS TIME last year after losing to a lousy Dallas team we laid another egg against the 2-13 BUC'S..
12-3 Atlanta meets a 2-13 Carolina this Sunday, can they pull a 2009 end of the season Buc's on em?? YOU DAMN RIGHT! will they? who knows. Im going to believe.. All we gotta do is beat Buc's in my opinion, let Carolina handle theirs. |

I have no issue with you believing SW. Because +ve thoughts can become self-fulfilling.
And the Kittys have beaten 2 teams somehow this year. And whilst the 14.5 spread looks a little wide to me, I cannot see the FailClowns dropping that far. |

I don't think the Vikings win was THAT surprising...you take away Childress and rickety old gunslinger Favre, and if the Vikings basically take a page from George Constanza, and do everything the exact opposite of what they have been doing all year, then they are a pretty good team! Maybe if the Panthers do the opposite of what they normally do, it could work for them. I hope Fox gets mad about being fired, and kinda goes loco on Sunday, I hope he pulls a "Cleveland Browns" on the Falcons -- trick plays, fake punts, fumblerooskys, Wildcat, stuff that you would normally never see him do. If they do that, they could surprise people. If they just come out and be the same lackadaisical boring team they've been all year, it will be a blowout.
I am just glad for the little "x" next to the Saints that means they've clinched a playoff spot. |
