bringing the wood?
time for Reggie to bring it and Julius Jones and Bell will have to step up if and/or when they are called upon. I think we should have enough to get by Seattle but the following two stops on the Magical Mystery Tour will be decidedly tougher!

Pierre Thomas has zero leverage now, and I doubt any other team spends a dime on him.
We'll make him a decent offer at market value, let him shop, and he'll resign here. GlassBacks have next to zero value. After all, this team has proven we can take unknowns and they perform, so I'm sure "system back" is on most GM's minds. I'm 90% sure he'll be a Saint in 2011. |

Mannnnnnn this sucks! Totally not the right time for all these injuries. When I heard Ivory was done, that was a huge blow. This offense is so much more effective with the power run mixed with Brees and this passing attack. Now that PT is out too, it really succcks! I still think we'll be fine in the end, Sean Payton will gameplan to each available backs advantage. And Reggie, this is your time man. I have been on your wagon all 5 years you've been here. But you are long overdue to start consistently producing game after game. Especially if you want that $11.8 owed next year. And as far as this Bell guy, dont really know much about him but from what I hear and see on highlights he is nothing but power! Just hope he can learn our system fast! So come on Saints lets make this run again! Everybody step up! WHOOOO DATTTTTTT! Dancin' to Dallas!

18 game schedule idea?
I hate it...the league and Goodell talking out both sides of their mouths when one moment they are saying they are concerned about player safety and then another taking a hardline stance with respect to ushering in an era of the 18 game schedule.
I know it is only about the bottom line for the owners but with all of the added, and expected, injuries, aren't they in fact going to take away from this great game, i.e. owners failing to see the larger picture? Guess it really is all about getting yours as fast as you can. Some of the best players will incur injuries and be available less often with the addition of these 2 games. By all means reduce the # of Xhibition games (which I fully support) but I guess if the owners don't get their way and add 2 regular season games a reduction of xhibition games won't happen either. More games whether they be regular season or xhibition means more money in their coffers. I like things just the way they are now. Hard Knocks was the highlight of the pre-season for me this year because it had such a provocative and compelling team with the most colorful personalities to follow. I would enjoy seeing the Saints on Hard Knocks next season Geaux Saints!!! |

I wish there was some way the fans voices could be heard on the matter of 18 games. I really think most of us want no part of it, because we know many of the players we love to watch will never survive it. The NFL will become depth VS depth, because the our favorite 1st string players will be on the sidelines hurt, or being saved for the , NOW, last 2 games that matter in the 18 game season.
Anyone interested in a game of major importance were C. Danells is vs Kitna. Arrington, robe vs crump, sayer on the cowboys? Were both our RB's are no names and both our OL and DL are being sat? That is exactly what is coming. anyone really think they wont want 20 games in 10 years. Then 22..24..next thing we know were the NBA,lol |
Saints proved that pigs could fly in 2009.
Now its time for another miracle SuperBowl and go where no pig has gone before. |

Huge fan of PT and CI
big loss. Hope Dano is right about the interchangeability in this offense. This season seems to show he is right. As for the 18 game season - this is a good example of why I am against it. but assuming it does happen - the 53 man roster should be increased to 60. 2 is one 8th of 16 - so you are adding one eight more games - the roster should also increase by an eighth. maybe that would show the owners that this is an expensive proposition and they would change their tune. |
