The Thrill is Gone

This season.. but I will always love the boys and my fellow Saints fans because we never give up. We did pretty well, 1st time a Saints team made it to the playoffs 2 years in a row. We'll get um next year.

If I were the players' union, I would be fighting hard against the 18 game schedule. I agree that 4 preseason games is too many, but they could shorten the preseason without lengthening the regular season.

I don't see how anyone can make it through 18 regular season games, not with just a 53 man roster.

Glad we're not going to be that team that ATL walks cleanly over to get a free ticket to the Superbowl..
We had nothing on our roster to keep them from getting there, i would feel even worse being that team that ATL walked over to get there, feeling somewhat like the vikings fans.

That point cant be overstated SW, its a very good one. We had Bush and JJ walking out on this one. Exactly how far do we expect to go?

Its better to lose now, than to the failcowns, who we know don't have a shot. And if we struggled threw, we face the Patriots. I respect them, it would not have been pretty. We will lick our wounds, and be back next year.

This post is not meant to ridicule or call-out anyone. With that said...

I totally disagree. Why do we treat professional athletes like pussies?

They get to stay in US, get paid huge amounts of money to play a game that they played for free all their life up to that point. They have a tremendously long offseason to rest and just go work-out. We have people...probably a lot on this board...that work-out every day and don't get paid anything to do it. Finally, every other team will have the same issues, so it evens out.

Ultimately...we, the fans, pay these guys. If we want 2 more games, we should get 2 more games. Why feel sorry for the players. I would almost kill to trade places with them even if we played 52 games a year...and I'm sure my wife would love my paycheck every week being 6 digits.

Whether you think you can or think you can't...you're right!

I still have a thrill in my pants and I would like to show it to all the Saints players and coaches this morning, IT'S CALLED WOOD BABY and you certainly didn't have any wood available to you yesterday.
