i can't remember which game it was but he got shellacked on a kick off return where he made the tackle and his shoulder got bent back bad. there i think where he really injured it. and reinjured it on the non roughing call.

It all started when he got clocked trying to make a tackle in the first punt of the first preseason game, against the Patriots. Due to our lousy special teams punt coverage, he was the only guy left to make the play and he got creamed and hurt, in a meaningless game. I would not be surprised if he has been dinged up all year, and kept re-aggravating it. That was why Hartley did a lot of the kicking off.

That was the Tampa @ New Orleans game at the end of the season; I think we were disappointed that the Saints were pulling back so we left shortly thereafter...
