Jonathan Casillas
Hey just want you guy's input about Casillas. Did everyone forget about this guy if he's healthy around draft time depending on who's out there do we make a first or secound round pick knowing he will be back for ready for next year.
The guy put up some go numbers in the preseason he looked ready good in one game. He has good size, speed he can tackle I can't remember how he did on coverage but he look like a good player and maybe he just need a little more coaching. |

Good post.
To be fair i had totally forgotten about Casillas, the guy tore it up in Preseason. I mean he got 10 tackles in the first game vs patriots, he definitley some one we need to remember when the draft board comes up. Either way we need two Outside backers, we have one in Casillas but we still need to replace Shanle, Clark is getting up there in age and Dunbar follows a great game up with a lousy one half the time. Draft one outside LB and let Casillas have the other spot. |

I haven't forgotten about him but at the same time, you have to be realistic. Given that he's still unproven, coming off injury, and a full season of not playing football... expecting any sort of significant contribution from him wouldn't be wise. Let's just hope he can be fully recovered by the time training camp comes around and able to help us on special teams first.

Might be able to go after AJ Hawk. He's an ILB in a 3-4 but I believe he can take over for Shanle. He's definitley better in coverage. What do you think?

Casillas is going to be a very solid pro. I was always a big fan of his since his Wisconsin days.
