Get rid of McMahon, the special teams unit has been less than stellar for a couple of years now. Teams were still ripping 60-70 yard returns on us in 2009, and it didnt get any better this past season. Start Fresh on special teams

"You know, give Seattle credit too. They're really good, they're a tremendous team. I thought our guys battled and played. And at the end of the day, you're gonna walk off the field and you're gonna feel either good or bad. We fell, what, five points short. It's just disappointing."
No, I refuse to give Seattle credit. The guys did not battle, and it was more than just disappointing. Five points or one. A loss is a loss and he should be mad instead of acting so nonchalant about it. Hope he doesn't have a lot of say in drafting the college recruits... |

Difference in coaches,
Greg Williams- "I'm really pissed that I'm sitting here at the Senior Bowl because you know that we had an off day. And it was defensively that we had an off day," McMahon- "Give Seattle Credit" |

Anyone else feel like he's more than likely being retained for next season? If we were going to fire him, I don't see the point in dragging it out.

His passive comments alone shows he needs to be fired especially when GW is still steaming over the lose, he has no fire and it shows it the Saints pathetic special teams play the last 2 years

If he hasn't been let go yet, it's looking more & more unlikely that they will get rid of him. Hate to go through another year of poor ST play, putting both our offense and defense in big holes before they even get on the field.

ST were some of the most disappointing parts of 2010. Awful kick coverage, Hartley wasn't the guy he was in the 2009-10 playoffs, and our return game sucked. Some of it, too, was just poor scheming, and that falls on the staff. The worst was pooch kicking the kickoffs in the first half against Seattle. Giving them the ball on the 40 or 45 is idiotic. Kick it deep, and just cover the dang kick.
