this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I have heard so much vitriol thrown Payton's way it disgusts me. 'Yeah, I'm gonna burn his book. He's betrayed us!' What a bunch of sad, petty morons. I thought the Black and Gold were stronger than that and that ...

I have heard so much vitriol thrown Payton's way it disgusts me. 'Yeah, I'm gonna burn his book. He's betrayed us!' What a bunch of sad, petty morons. I thought the Black and Gold were stronger than that and that we would wait until things developed before any public burnings. If the man wants to get a place in Dallas for his family, let him. It has disappointed me and I am not even from America let alone New Orleans, but let's wait until facts come out before pouring all of this hate on the guy. I love New Orleans and miss it when I can't get to it but have no idea what it would be like to live there or raise a family but I do know this; if it was a choice of family and Dallas home or New Orleans but you're on your own?! No contest. The man can still be a great coach and still lead this team to another Superbowl but it would be good for him to know that as long as he is a coach for the New Orleans Saints, the best fans in the world will be behind him 100%. Here endeth the lesson.

How do Rumors get started...
They're started by the jealous people... And they get mad about somethin they had... and somebody else is holdin... I certainly hope all is well in the Payton home. Moving to Dallas wouldnt make sense to me, if this is the case. This would only have them separated more. I wouldnt live in any city, if I had a choice. I'd be in a swamp somewhere. But I cant imagine not being able to find a nice place on the Northshore, or somewhere in the country. I need more info, before I know what to think here. |

I used to work in Mandeville, and had to travel around town a LOT. It's a very nice town. In a lot of ways, it's the mirror image of New Orleans, in that everything is the opposite. I love New Orleans, but I could see why someone wouldn't want to live there. However, Mandeville is very "sterile" in comparison. Maybe it was just too quiet for the Payton's... |
