Just when Will Smith thought it was safe to relax at home after the NFL season had ended; the case that wouldn't seem to ever go away comes back to haunt him.

Remember the StarCaps case from a couple years ago that included New Orleans Saints Will Smith, Charles Grant, and Deuce McAllister? Well, it has been appealed so many times that people seemed to forget about it. Now over two years later, suspensions could come from it.

The Minnesota Court of Appeals has affirmed the ruling of a lower court in the state, according to NFL spokesperson Greg Aiello, which could mean that Vikings DTs Pat Williams and Kevin Williams, along with Saints DE Will Smith, will face suspension for failing a drug test in December 2008.

This is looking more like a reality. When I read the article this morning I really thought it was from last August; it seems like we have been discussing it for 5 years now.
When does the statute of limitations run out, and when does Jordan sign?

Goodell and the NFL need to drop this case ... suspending players for something that occurred 3 years ago is absurd.

Stupid. But unfortunately in rulings like this, you can't set the dangerous precedent of picking and choosing.

Ok its been a while - what the hell is going on with the NFL - make a ruling or shut up about it & Smith (& the others play!!)
