The New Orleans Saints are now in the offseason and running even as CBA negotiations are ongoing with the league and the NFLPA. Action began a few days ago when the team waived runnig back P.J. Hill and fullback Marcus Mailei.
Now the black and gold are looking forward to their first visit of free agency. Nose tackle Shaun Rogers, formerly of the Cleveland Browns, tweeted that he was on his way to New Orleans to visit the Saints and see what they have to offer. This tweet coming after his visit with the Kansas City Chiefs. Rogers dealt with a lot of injuries last season in Cleveland and was released by the Browns after a disappointing year. When healthy though, he can fill the middle nicely and is an excellent defender against the run. Pairing him alongisde Sedrick Ellis would make for a very strong defensive middle. The big nose tackle has also paid a visit to the Washington Redskins.
