What will the Saints' record be for the 2011 season?
Here is the list of teams the Saints will face next season:
They will be host to: Bears Lions Giants Texans Colts Falcons Buccaneers Panthers They will travel to: Packers Vikings Titans Jaguars Rams Falcons Buccaneers Panthers Personally, I feel this is a somewhat brutal schedule. Of all these teams, the ones that I feel will be on the sharpest rise in terms of overall performance are the Lions, the Texans, and the Jaguars. The Rams should also improve this season and the Panthers could not possibly be any worse than they were last year. Although I think the Saints will do well, it will be harsh if they have to face the Packers at Lambeau Field for their season opener. Just as it was harsh for the Vikings to face the Saints at the Superdome for their season opener. I really hope the Saints do not have to face the Packers in the first game of the season. Here is my prediction of how the games will go: Bears W Lions L Giants W Texans W Colts W Packers L Vikings W Titans W Jaguars L Rams W Falcons W Falcons L Buccaneers W Buccaneers W Panthers W Panthers W The Titans and Panthers will be in rebuilding mode which translates to bigtime losing seasons for both clubs. The same could be said for the Vikings. The Colts and Giants will both prove tough opponents for the Saints, which is why I'm glad we're facing them in our own arena. I think of the Lions and Jaguars as underrated opponents. If the Saints can sweep the Bucs and Panthers as I have predicted, I don't think there's anything that can keep them from winning the division. Final Prediction: Saints 12-4, #2 seed in the NFC (behind the Packers, who will go 13-3). |
Wait... the Bears are coming here?
Isn't this poll a little premature? Some of you just can't wait. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_M0cuxJsSjd...iagraGames.jpg |

We've shown a tendency to blow one against teams that Charles Barkley calls "turrahbul". Plus, lots of injuries this year means lots of injuries to those same players next season. (statistics don't lie)
11-5 again, wild card, but a playoff win. |
If there is no CBA we're looking at 0-0!
|
i don't like these polls, 1-4 with the scabs,then 11-0 with regulars.
12-4 u asked lol |
Polls are like power rankings, only more non-straight.
Not sure about next season yet, but if we address our weaknesses there's no reason we won't be the class of the NFC South and probably the NFC in general. Our schedule is freaking brutal though. Very few patsies and a whole bunch of teams on the rise. 11 wins would be a fantastic season. |
10-11 games, playoff berth, and hopefully some luck there afterwards.

Stay healthy and anything is possible
|
We're gonna get the defensive help we need. We'll pick our new Rickey Jackson this draft day, and get 2 or 3 sleepers you never heard of who will
burn em up, and there's gonna be that one free agent--- probably a RB, who's gonna be the two punch to Drew, and its gonna be greatness. Labor talks will hammer something out, just before Training Camp, and we're gonna party. 14-2 and another Ring! |

Saints will likely win 10-12 games. Brees alone is going to get you 7-9 wins and there is no way we will have the RB revolving door again. That was a strange set of circumstances. I don't ever recall a team losing that many in one season but I'm sure there is one. The draft, I don't see us finding much but average players unless we trade up and that's not going to happen. |
One of the things to keep in mind is that you can bet that Drew Brees is not going to have 22 interceptions this time around. Many of the interceptions were balls that were tipped off of people who were new to the team (Ladell, Jimmy, etc.) With more stability in both the RB and WR corps, you can bet the interceptions will decrease. Untimely interceptions basically handed victories to the Browns and Cardinals last season.
I believe Drew will throw about 35 touchdowns and just 14 interceptions this season en route to a 12-4 record. |

Ask after Draft, FA, and CBA...

I don't know when we've had a more brutal schedule however. Its been a long while. |
I am predicting a far more consistent Saints team this year with a tight defense and an offensive team that nearly always maneuvers themselves to the receiving end of an ingenious Drew Brees pass.
They got a taste o' blood during their 2009 championship and got a strong dose of embarrassing reality about their individual and team inconsistencies in 2010. I'm betting on the BOI (Big Ol' Improved) Saints for 2011. I still believe! Geaux Saints. Hope you all are doing well. My Sundays are awful lonely these days... |

WE CAN BE 7-9 I DON'T CARE AS LONG WE GET ANOTHER RING
|
Already? We don't even know who is going to be on the field… Losses to Detriot and Atlanta? WOW!
|
I would rather play the Packers in September than December.
Other than the Saints history of making bad teams look like Super Bowl champs, I don't see the Lions or Jaguars beating the Saints. If the Saints stay healthy, they should finish 11-5 to 13-3. |
nih nih nih nih..... ooo the other teams are so big and scaaary....
We're gonna win big in '11. and there's gonna be a season! |
I have to wait until I see how teams are restructured in the NFL to figure it out. I think after the 2nd game of the season you kind of know, then it takes me around game 4-8 to be pretty positive about what teams are capable of.
Besides, what if we lose Ivory, Thomas, and Bush to other teams? I'll revisit the thread later, good post though. |

Do we have CBA Yet ? |
They'll go undefeated...
I'll keep saying it till it comes true. :^/ |

It's impossible to really take an intelligent guess right now. There are too many variables..........our front seven pressure won't get the job done and we have no idea who will be starting where outside of a handful of players.
