Evans, a 10th-year player, returned to the field this summer after suffering a season-ending ACL tear in his right knee in October 2009. He showed determination and dedication in his rehab and was on the field when the team opened training camp.

He played in all 16 games this season, capping his comeback by catching a touchdown pass in his home state of Florida in the team’s 31-6 win at Tampa Bay.

Evans is hosting his third annual celebrity softball game in Jupiter, Fla., tonight to benefit the Heath Evans Foundation, which aides victims of childhood sexual abuse.

solid pick, its probably the end of his playing days but he could possibly hang around and help in player development or something. i believe he was on his way to his best year of carreer when he tore the knee up.

All you need is a "Hey Junior hit the first guy you see, and try to take out two of them at the same time if you can", type player.
Hell we did pretty good that SB run without him. He comes back and we can't win a playoff game HA! I know stretch.

I say cut him sooner than later. I think we can get a suitable back up out there in FA or even draft a decent enough one. Besides we sue TE's more and better than the FB position if push comes to shove.

I just didn't see it in him this year, missed blocks not getting out there and hitting anymore.
