Agility Drills I’d Like to See at the Combine…
Here are a few drills I’d love to see implemented at the combine….
All Players – Full NFL gear for all drills... no shorts, T-shirts or track shoes 40 yard dash – Start standing up, no track starts 40 yard football dash – Run 45 yards, only time the last 40. This is how most NFL races occur anyway. CB’s. Start the 40 backwards, backpedal 5 yards, turn and go. WR’s – Must hit and push off a blocking dummy, then take off RB’s – All running performed while holding a football. Any others you’d like to see added or changed? |

I mean they all make sense and are good ideas... but too many numbers just complicate things for me personally. It's like baseball when they kept adding stats to measure players... all that sabermetrics crap just gives me a headache.

Lets have em run thru cones past gold diggers, prospective baby-mamas and strip bars. maybe put some little bags with various substances, and have one or two little guys talk sh** to them, just to make sure they dont go Vince Young on anyone. Then maybe a motorcycle with no helmet and a vulnerable young girl, to screen for Rothlesbergers.
This is all my BS. Most NFL Players are stand-up characters. You dont get to this level without some considerable discipline and character. |

I'd like to see some type of endurance/stress test. Tired of rookies coming in and being put on IR for the year.
