This is going to kill my youngest daughter. She loves Jeremy. When I went to buy her first jersey; she wanted Jeremy's. I still haven't got the heart to tell her.

I hate this happened and I will miss him. However, if it is what is best for the team.....that reduces the sting.

Had to tell my daughter and she was sooo upset. Hated Shockey when he played for the Giants and it was the hardest Saints jersey I ever bought when she wanted one at the beginning of the 2009 season. Have to admit that I grew to love that guy more than most on the team. Loved his attitude and the spirit that he bought to his teammates. I also had the opportunity to hang out with him on Bourbon the night after winning the Super Bowl and he was a blast! Gonna miss him so much, but maybe, just maybe the Saints will resign him so that he can have one more year with Jimmy and teach him to bring the attitude. He was a perfect fit for New Orleans.... Thanks for all you did Shockey!
