John Carney in talks to become Saints ST Assistant Coach
Additionally, team officials currently are in discussion with Carney to join the team as an assistant to Special Teams Coordinator Greg McMahon, according to multiple league sources. If Carney joins the Saints, look for current special teams assistant Mike Mallory to shift his responsibilities to the secondary where he will assist newly-named Secondary Coach Tony Oden.
Carney confirmed to NewOrleans.Com that he has held job discussions with Saints officials within the past week and is poised to officially call a halt to his distinguished 21-year career (NFL accredited seasons). "I've enjoyed my time in NewOrleans and with the Saints and am hopeful this will come to fruition,'' Carney said Wednesday morning. "I have the umost respect for Mickey Loomis and Sean Payton and would love to resume my association with Coach Mac (McMahon), Thomas (Morstead) and Garrett. I hope it all works out.'' http://www.neworleans.com/index.php?...648&Itemid=578 |
Insanity is defined as doing the same thing over, over, and over again...and expecting a different outcome!
