Non-Saints (by permission) to wish everyone a VERY HAPPY MARDI GRAS!

from Wikipedia:

The terms "Mardi Gras" (pronounced /ˈmɑrdiɡrɑː/), "Mardi Gras season", and "Carnival season", in English, refer to events of the Carnival celebrations, beginning on or after Epiphany and culminating on the day before Ash Wednesday. Mardi Gras is French for "Fat Tuesday" (in ethnic English tradition, Shrove Tuesday), referring to the practice of the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lenten season, which begins on Ash Wednesday. Related popular practices are associated with celebrations before the fasting and religious obligations associated with the penitential season of Lent.

Popular practices include wearing masks and costumes, overturning social conventions, dancing, sports competitions, parades, etc. Similar expressions to Mardi Gras appear in other European languages sharing the Christian tradition. In English, the day is called Shrove Tuesday, associated with the religious requirement for confession before Lent begins.

Well, down here on da bayou (Houma-Thibodaux) we've been going at it pretty strong every day now...

Even with the weather making a mess of things, including Tornado Watch(s), we're wrapping up down here now...

A bunch of families got together and we barbaque'd, boiled seafood - I even had Gumbeaux and Jambalaya; man, do we know how to pass a good time...

Hope everyone was safe and had a Happy Mardi Gras...

For our brothers and sisters in the Black and Gold, let us know when you are visiting this area and we'll set you in the right direction...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
