Vote for Drew Brees in the Madden NFL '12 cover tournament from ESPN
 

The NFL season is officially over and it appears we don't even know when the next one will actually begin thanks to the expiration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). With the players locked out and the owners being sued, who knows exactly when we'll have our favorite sport live before our eyes again?

None the less, that doesn't stop the video game world from doing what it does best and producing one of the most famous football games in history. Madden NFL '12 is currently in production and due for release later this summer, but a cover man is still needed.

Last year, New Orleans Saints own Drew Brees saw himself on the cover of the game and the "Madden Curse" didn't really hit the team as everyone expected. True, the season didn't go the way we had all hoped but getting to the playoffs is never anything to be ashamed of.

This year's cover man will not be chosen by EA Sports but by the fans. You can go to ESPN.com and vote in a tournament that pits representatives from all 32 teams against one another in order to hold the coveted spot.

I ain't voting for anybody for anything unless and until they figure out how to split their collective 9 billion. I wouldn't spit on a single one of 'em if their asses were on fire right now, much less vote for another endorsement, even if it IS Drew. But that's just me.
