Is this the same guy who has blasted Haslett for signing Tebucky? I'm sure WhoDat will go easier on Tebucky now that he remembers that Tebucky is one of his guys. You also approved of that big contract WhoDat ( I can post that too, if ya like?) Now he's on your plate. Maybe you can coach him up?? Great talent evaluator you are. Yes Sir!!

Brooks is not a top five QB right now. But he does have the ability to get there --posted on 16/11/2003 at 22:38
Is this the same guy who's constantly complaining Brooks is not a top 5 QB? Lordy, Lordy !!

Yeah that's the position that everyone is building their team around. Not the QB or runningback, but the MLB. How many teams build their team around the MLB Whodat? Ridiculous !! (Just forget the Fact that a MLB hasn't been drafted with the 1st overall selection in 20-years) Can you imagine hearing this on draft day? " With the first overall draft pick by the Huston Texan's they select a MLB (insert name) But, I believe they selected QB-David Carr to build their team around.

the QB may be called the "field general", but he's not --posted on 23/6/2003 at 15:54
I guess you think Jerry Fotenot is the field general. And this coming from WhoDat who is constantly saying Brooks needs to be the leader.

Brooks has been tops in the league in stats that rarely prove that the QB himself has any talent. Stats like yards, TDs, etc...
Throwing for yardage and TD's aren't important huh? I guess you think completion percetage is what wins games. Not POINTS huh? Were you drunk when you said that? Do they have the completion percentage on the score board. It'd probably look like this:

Bears 17 Saints : 59.98 % LMAO :P

The job of the quarterback is NOT to put points on the board... nope. -- posted on 14/6/2003 at 10:27
Yeah I hear ya. I guess the QB's job is to just call the snap count huh? LOL. Ridiculous !!

I'm not saying 5-11 is the best this team can be, but right now, it's what I'm rooting for. I'm for Saban, and I'm done with this team this year. -- posted on 26/10/2003 at 17:29
You are done WhoDat? That's what I've been telling everyone. Maybe they will beleive you NOW !! Will you have on your Buc's jersey tomorrow? I sure hope the Saints win out and don't lose like you are hoping for them to do. I like the idea of the Saints going to the playoffs? You??? Is this thing broken? I can't hear you !! Is that the sound of crickets chirping that I hear? ;)

Delhomme is a fanchise QB
Yep, I voted for him on the Pro Bowl Ballot. :o

Just thought I'd return the favor there WhoDat. Funny stuff man... :P There's more but I'm tired of looking.

Wow Billy. Those are the best you could find? I\'m not embarrassed by a single one and they\'re all one liners, and thus totally out of context so there\'s no way to determine the true meaning. At least with yours I posted whole paragraphs and/or entire posts, thus making it impossible to misconstrue your tang coma.

I think most of those statements you made stand alone and speak for themselves. Sure, you might try to justify them, but I didn\'t make those statements up or take them out of context.

But, I\'m just busting your chops. I\'m pretty exausted so I prefer to drop this. Ok?

There\'s no way to defend those Gator, but I think it\'s admirable for you to stick up for you leader. Here\'s my favorites:

I\'ve blasted the Saints for that move and openly admitted that I was wrong when I said it was a great move in the preseason - which just about every person on this board agreed with. Of course, I do remember Gator and I being upset that we had given up too much for Tebucky, and you argued that we had not.

How is this supposed to embarrass me? I\'ve said over and over that I\'m on the fence about Brooks. I don\'t think he is developing a whole lot and he probably won\'t ever materialize despite tons of talent. You agree that he isn\'t progressing as a QB Billy. Remember this one:

\"Let\'s start with Aaron Brooks. I think Araon is going to be a very good QB, but he is not developing as quickly as I thought he would. He does not get rid of the ball quick enough. He tends to lock onto receivers and does not look the safety off. He tends to hold the ball too long and take unneccessary sacks. The truth is that Brooks is not as bad as some say and he\'s not as good as some say. Yes, that includes me. \" - BillyC

Should have just left that one alone Billy. First, think about guys like Ray Lewis, Urlacher, Singletary... those guys weren\'t the leaders on their team? But fine, you\'re right, QB is. So in essence, Brooks\' mistakes HURT our team MORE than any other player. If his play is the most impactful on the team, which is what you\'re saying, then his screw ups hurt this team more. You just proved me right in that other debate. Thanks.

Funny. Hilarious. Haven\'t YOU been talking about Brooks\' completion percentage and efficiency rating all season long? If it\'s TDs and Yards again then how good is Brooks playing this year? Not very. The point is COMPARITIVE numbers matter more than RAW stats. Yards per game, TDs to INTs, completion percentage... you know it Billy, you\'re on that train now. The QB doesn\'t put points on the board by himself very often... unless his name is Michael Vick. You lose again.

His job is to run the offense. Distribute the ball to play makers and try to find ways to take advantage of the defense. That requires good reads and decisions. How good is Brooks at that? According to your quote above, not very.

Gator was right, this was said after the Indy game and it was made out of frustration. After this game I believe you ALSO said that you were WRONG about this team, WRONG about the coahces and WRONG about the players. Want me to go find that quote?

\"quote:

Delhomme has led 4 game winning drives in his first season as a starter. He is learning. He doesn\'t have near the tools physically, or in terms of supporting players, that Brooks does yet over the last month of the season Delhomme has been playing better than Brooks. Given time, Delhomme will be a good QB - and if you believe Brooks is a franchise guy, then you\'ll have to believe Delhomme is too, b/c his numbers are comparable.

Thanks again Billy. You have embarrassed yourself more than you\'ve embarrassed me. Stop trying man. One or two more of these and you\'ll have no toes left on your feet! Gator tore you up, I tore you up, Lumm0x tore you up, BnB went and found a new OWNED picture just for you.... you got JACKED UP! Go stand on the sidelines, find some smelling salt, and try to come out of that Tang coma.

WhoDat --

What I have said has nothing do to with the statment\'s you have made. The fact of the matter is you went on record and said:

1. The Middle Linebacker is the most important position on the field. (Either you think that or you don\'t. What I think is irrelevant.)

2. You said you give up on the Saints. ( I said I was wrong about the Saints being as good as I thought, but I never said I hope they lose the rest of their games. I had enough sense to know they COULD turn in around and I\'m not a quitter.)

3. the QB may be called the \"field general\", but he\'s not ( Can\'t remember? That\'s a weak attempt to get get out of that statement. I wish you would tell any coach that the QB isn\'t the field general. I can\'t believe you wouldn\'t feel embarrased about that statement)

4. Brooks has been tops in the league in stats that rarely prove that the QB himself has any talent. Stats like yards, TDs, etc... (I don\'t care that much about completion percentage. I\'m mad as hell that Brooks isn\'t making this offense as productive as last year. I\'ll take McNabb\'s low completion percenage and the results he get\'s over completion percentage any day of the week. Yeah TD\'s don\'t matter and prove nothing.)

You sound like Jim Haslett making excuses for why his team didn\'t execute.
