Mark Ingram compared to Emmitt Smith
The local media has been comparing Ingram to Deuce, but I've always felt that he was more like Emmitt. Wow - what if… Here's an article comparing the two's accomplishments:

I saw a side-by-side video of both of them over at SR. It was amazing how similar their talents and running style are.

Emmitt admits he couldn't have done what he did without the Moose. Maybe he didn't assist Smith his entire career but he opened up a lot of holes. Moose was also the first FB ever selected to a Pro Bowl. Ingram won't have that luxury for the Saints, he'll get some help but not on that level.

Forget naming anyone anything. If he can stay healthy, average 17+ carries a game with a 4+ YPC while being an effective receiver out of the backfield for the next 5+ seasons, then it was a hell of a move to trade up to get him IMO.

I just want to see him get the 2-3 yards up the middle that Bush couldn't deliver and open up play action again. If he can do that in his first season it's going to take a lot of pressure off Brees.
