LB Mark Herzlich

I just saw a video on this guy. LB from Boston College who couldn't play in 2009 because he was diagnosed with cancer and had to go through therepy. During the 2008 season he was looked at as a top 10 pick and number 1 LB in the nation. He sat out in 2009 because of the cancer and remained with the team as a coach. Played in 2010 and obviously wasn't up to his 2008 form, but played well. He beat the cancer, and wasn't drafted. I'm sorry, but if we need LB help, how inspiring would it be to bring in a fighter like this as a rookie FA? Instant fan favorite. Heres a link, watch the video in the center of the article.

NFL.com news: Prospects such as Burney and Herzlich must make decision

Regardless, I hope this guy lands with someone and does well.

He'll get a shot in New England. I'd take him here and he might even push for a starting job, but odds are it's New England.

Mark is a very good edge rusher... I would definitely hope the Saints take a look at him when they can.
