this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I agree with their assessment... but up the sack range to 6-8. Jordan is more of a complete DE... not a pure pass rusher. He does not bail out on the run to chase the quarterback kamikaze style all over ...

I agree with their assessment... but up the sack range to 6-8. Jordan is more of a complete DE... not a pure pass rusher. He does not bail out on the run to chase the quarterback kamikaze style all over the field. With his size, athleticism, and our attack style defense, a ten sack season here or there is more than possible. Think a more athletic Charles Grant... when he was actually good.

He is exactly what we hoped Charles Grant would be. Another note, he played DE in a 3-4 at Cal, and 3-4 DE's never get high sack totals. I look for his sacks to increase quite a bit in our 4-3. I can see him as a consistent 8-10 sack guy with Ellis and Rogers in the middle and Smith on the end, as well as a solid DE against the run. Clayborn may be a better pass rusher, but I think Jordan is the better player. |
