Sold out for 6th straight year!
The lockout hasn’t impacted football fever in Louisiana.
Not for the New Orleans Saints, anyway. The Saints announced that they have sold 73,000 seats in the Superdome for the 2011 season, marking the sixth consecutive season the franchise will have sold out the entire season. According to James Varney of the New Orleans Times-Picayune, it dates back to Sept. 25, 2006, the first time the stadium was re-opened following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. damn straight. you cant have MY seats, i know that.
I remember dumb butts telling me after the Storm, that there wouldnt be enough fans left to support the Saints. I knew they were full Of it-- (and not in a good way, like when I tell St. LB he's "full O' it") I knew they were full of it, and I knew we'd come back strong. I just never dreamed we'd be stronger than ever. This rocks. |

Saints fans have loved this team through some pretty dismal seasons, and kept coming back for more. Good and bad, they were always our Saints. There was/is no other city or region of the world that's able to give this kind of love and support, or keep hanging on to this roller coaster until the ride ends. I am New Orleans Saint for life, and have the scars to prove it.
