Better play calling, DEEP thoughts
Notice how much the playcalling improved when we were forced to "wing" it. I think this staff thinks too much. On gameday they have a plan and come hell or high water we're gonna stick to that plan. It often has resulted in predictability. Well Sunday night, due to T Smith last second scratch, we were forced to adjust early and often. I thought the play calling and gameplan was the best of the year, even if it was unplanned so to speak. It may have helped Brooks mentally also by not making him think too much, just play.
Does anyone else think I'm on to something or I am I way out in left field? Or maybe its just the Giants were so bad anything we tried was gonna work? |

I think you might be right on both counts. It seems to me that AB works better when he wings it. I know this will cause some to think badly but if he is a little slow mentally, this would make more sense. Not having to remember each and every play would make it easier for him. He can just react to what he sees from the defense. However I think the loss of Smith was a definite loss to our running game. Note Deuce\'s stats for the game.
