Screw him. I know precisely what's going on - as much as anyone can know who isn't directly involved...as much as I 'can' know. What I know: The players are well paid The players were well paid with the old agreement The players will be well paid with the new agreement The players will work less with the new agreement The players will make more with the new agreement The players, current and former, will be better taken care of, much better in many ways, with the new agreement Here's what else I know. I know that what they don't like about what the owners have ratified has everything to do with a strategy they are already building up for the next CBA. What else I know is, in spite of Heath and other players saying they are truly sorry that the HOF game was cancelled, the truth is they don't give a damn. They won't care one iota right up until they start missing game checks. They don't care about Canton They don't care about the Vendors They don't care about the people who have already lost their jobs because of this mess Heath needs to take his wife and daughter to Macys and Nordstrom this weekend. THAT'S what Heath cares about at the end of the day. Screw him. |

It really had nothing to do with players, it was some sort of revenue sharing pot ( a safety stash so to speak) the owners added to help the small market teams compete with the big market teams. Didn't hear it all but it seemed like a whole lot to do about nothing. EDIT: Just listened to the whole thing. WTF is the fuss all about? He doesn't sound upset at all and every thing he said was logical and very level headed, well except that war eagle crap at the end. He sounds no different than every other player who's opened his mouth about this negotiaton. |

He's good at keeping his name in the news though. |

It seems that you're taking it a little too personally. He's just another guy "fighting for the cause". So what?
I actually like Evans. It seems that he's a leader and a bright player. He's had some great moments as a fullback for the Saints. I hate this lockout. It's keeping us from talking about football. |

But yes, it became personal to me the instant they cancelled the HOF game. Not so much because I linger around all summer waiting on the HOF game. I don't. Rather it was because I know in my heart they simple do not care. And I guess Heath was wrong about all this "illegal" stuff he said they owners tried to slip in? Sure looks like it... |

I stopped listening to pretty much anything he says, b/c of his
constant Bible thumping on his Twitter acct. Tiresome. Almost as tiresome as Reggie Bush's total inability to use the English language. What do the they teach those people at USC, anyway? It ain't* English. It ain't accounting. It apparently ain't even FOOTBALL. So, WHAT IS IT?!? *Gratuitous use of "ain't" intended as Southern irony. ; ) |

Just sounded to me like the guy wanted to be proceed with caution. There was nothing malicious in the tone of his voice. I don't think he mention one thing negative about his salary. This guy even went as far as to say he didn't think there was much more to work out. He was just concerned out the forced time line. It's easy for me to see why someone on the end of a contract negotiation that only been agreed upon by the other side would be alarmed.
HEATH...Do not voice your opinion. If we want that we'll voice it here for YOU !!!!....LOL |
