6th Annual Don’s Prediction League
6th Annual Don’s Prediction League 2011 SEASON By DonCanabis/TheDon Analyst/Godfather CONGRATS TO THE 2010 DON’S PREDICTION LEAGUE CHAMPIONS *** Mlmpetert from thewarpath.net *** *** Sparty from detroitlionsforum.com *** Hey Everyone With the lockout almost over it's that time of year, training camp it's around the corner and the first preseason game it's a month away. So, it's time invite you guys to my 6th Annual Don's Prediction League. Well, as most of you know for previous years, I do a Predictions Column in the board every week during the season that I post here and on other sites, after a few years of doing it, some members started challenge me that they could do a better job than me, so after taking all the trash talk I decided to put any member that wanted to challenge me, up to the test and created this league. This is a FREE league I run for FUN, where we all face against each other like fantasy football, It's really easy and entertaining, it also can help you get better in your own analysis if you're a betting man like myself. Or, if you're just a competitive person, and like to prove you're the BIG dog against other Rival Fans, this is the league for you. I'm not here to promote any betting site, or my own web page or anything like that, this is just for members that bet and already make their own predictions and want to get better at it or prove how good they are, I do this for fun and competition to put something else to the season. We have Bloggers fans from Dallas, Washington, Arizona, New Orleans, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Miami, San Diego, Baltimore and Denver, we don't have Eagles fans just because I don't want to deal with all their nonsense LOL. Ok so here is how it works, each week I send via e-mail to all the league members the Games of the week with the Vegas Lines for those games. Each member then has to pick in three different ways each game. Straight up.- who's going to win the game it doesn't matter if it 's NE vs MIN you only pick who you think is going to win. For example most people here would pick NE Spread.- each week Vegas gives a spread of points to keep matches on an even level example.- NE vs MIN because NE is so likely to win and possibly big Vegas might give Minnesota 10 points in-favor. That means that if you picked NE, for you to win not only NE has to win the game but has to beat Minnesota for more than 10 points (NE 27- MIN 10), so if you don't think NE can win by 10 points it's a better bet to take Min because even if they lose as long as they don't lose by more than 10 you win (NE 27 MIN 20) In the last example even if Min lost the game if you picked Min for the Spread you Won. Over/Under.- Also each week Vegas puts a line of how many points between both team are going to make and you have to pick if they going to score more points between them that what Vegas placed or less. example.- let's take the same game NE vs MIN and Vegas place a Ovr/und line of 48 you know NE has an excellent team and it's going to score some points to MIN, because of this, if you believe that between them they're easily going to score 48 point in that case you select Ovr so if the score is NE 37 - MIN 17 =37+17= 54 you win. but maybe you think yeah NE might score a lot of points but there's no way MIN can score against NE. in that case you take the under NE 37 - MIN 3 = 37+3= 40 You win. So, at the end of the week we take all the picks (selections) that each member had right per game and we add it to his score, I send that weeks results and the season results each week and by the end of the year the one with the better record wins. We have had pretty good member's the past 5 years some with a above 60% Straight up record and 58% record against the spread that's better than most Vegas experts. Anyway it's a lot of fun, especially if you think you're better than most so call experts out there. Our last Year's winners came from thewarpath.net (Mlmpetert) and detroitlionsforum.com (Sparty) The winner Not only gets bragging rights for 1 year in all the boards I post my columns but a Prize: 1st place will get any item they want from the NFL Shop or their Team shop for no more than $25+shipment or a donation to their team forum for the same amount in their name. This year we will also do a Pre Season Mock league so any newcomer or member that feels a little rusty can get some practice without affecting their record. So, if you would like to join write in this thread or send me a PM all I need is your email that we're going to use, Screen Name and First name to know who you are. GL |

Because you're not here to talk Saints football. Your post should probably be in the NFL section. Try that.
