Sidney Rice
Man, i wish we would make a play for him. I love Colston...but how many years before Colston is a non factor? 5 knee surguries doesnt excite me. And he is one of our best guys! Sid Rice would be awesome here. If Colston goes down in the next 2-3 years...which i think he would...I would love to see us get a dominant receiver. We dont really have a dominant guy

I believe the 'Hawks are trying to lock him up. They already signed Tavaris Jackson to take over the QB spot... And have some ex-Viking personnel on staff,

He has some of the best footwork I've ever seen. You can definitely tell Cris Carter spent a lot of time with him coming into the league.

wow. colstons already had 5 knee surgeries!? i didnt realize it had been so many.
signing sidney, most likely, would mean us having to let lance walk or get rid or devery somehow. i wouldnt mind it happening, i just dont see it happening. i do find it intriuging, however, to think of brees w/ a high level wr, which he's never had since he's been in the league, like holmes or rice. |

it would be killer if we could pull off the nfl equivalent of a miami heat deal. get three HUGE pro bowlers for a discount just because they want to win a ring! that would killer! |

Rice still wouldn't get 10 catches a week, its just not Payton's way. Two many options that would make him just another bullet in the clip. If we pay him mega-bucks for 4-6 catches per game, 6-8 touchdowns a year, we would be hating on him before long.

I'd love Rice in black and gold if that would mean Moore and/or Henderson had to go that would be ok with me. |

Sidney Rice had one good season. If I had to take one of these WR that are free agents right now I would go with Santonio Holmes. I believe he's proving his self in the league. Rice is a good player but I don't believe his better than Holmes.
