this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Reggie and Ricky together..... All they need is JaMarcus Russell and they can be in Guinness for the most over paid, over hyped backfield in history. Maybe the heaviest too....

Jeff Darlington of the Miami Herald confirms that Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland spent "much of the night" working on a trade for Reggie Bush.
The deal is contingent on contract terms; the Fins and Saints have agreed on compensation. Ireland ultimately opted to "sleep on it," after a long day of work. His decision is coming this morning. The Saints were almost certain to release Bush by the end of this week, so we suspect they're willing to accept a late-round pick. A fifth-rounder in 2012 seems about right; it was the going rate for disappointing playmakers like Ted Ginn and (at the time) Santonio Holmes last offseason. Who will Payton get to use as a decoy in our offense now. How much is Darren Sproles asking for I would mind seeing him in Black and Gold.

That's good news actually. We get something in return for an oft injured player who openly stated he would rather play on grass. Does Miami have a good LB we could use? Do we want Vontae?

I am not sure this hurts that much. How much does it save us under the cap? |

I'd take a 5th round pick in a heartbeat for Reggie. Look, I love the idea of Reggie and what he can do for this offense... but he's rarely healthy, rarely playing with his head in the game, and often making a crippling mistake (mostly fumbling the ball, especially on punt returns). If we can work something out for a much reduced salary in 2011, I wouldn't mind seeing him in black and gold this year... but if we can get something for him?!? Yes please.

Kind'a makes me wonder why the Dolphins just didn't wait and not have to give up anything to get Reggie. Perhaps the other meat eaters show up to feed once he gets cut from our roster.

Wow...I feel like I'm the only fan here that would like to see Reggie stay. I would rather him stay at a reduced rate then see him leave.
