this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; We have four corners, five if you count jenkins. There are 25 starting positions counting the kickers and long snapper. We can't fill the entire 53 man roster with corners!!...

Here's how I do my homework, these are the only numbers that count the first two number are games played and games started!!!! 2010 New York Jets 15 15 42 41 1 0.0 -- 17 3 75 25.0 66 0 0 2009 San Diego Chargers 16 16 33 31 2 0.0 -- 10 3 17 5.7 16 0 0 2008 San Diego Chargers 16 15 64 60 4 0.0 0 9 2 66 33.0 52T 1 0 Greer is not Cromartie!! Cromartie doesn't miss games!!!! And even you can admit the greer got picked on a whole hellva lot. NO HEIGHT ISN'T EVERYTHING BUT HE'S PRETTY FAST TOO!!!!! Funny thing about this is if we did sign him Greer would move to slot corner so fast it would make your teeth chatter!!! |

Doesn't matter who you have in the secondary, if you can't apply a pass rush a receiver will get open. Fix the pass rush (which I think will be done with Rogers) and the defense is set. Rogers should occupy 2 linemen to allow someone to get to the QB.

Gimme the best pash rush in the NFL and you can win with two Jason freakin' Davids playing CB. Conversely if you have the worst pass rush in the NFL, you'll lose even with an Asamugha and Revis at CB, IMO |

Greer's stats are very closer to Cromartie and he did not even start as many. You original argument was that we need height because our guys get picked on when the average height for CB is below 6'0. I do agree he does get hurt alot, but don't say Greer is not as good or height is a factor. |

I gotta agree on the pash rush comment. If you give the QB all day to throw the ball, eventually SOMEONE is going to get open. That, IMO, is how we created so many turnovers our superbowl year. Get to the QB, and the rest is gravy.

I seem to remember Revis getting scorched by Randy Moss, for a touchdown last season. He came up limping after the score, but was running full bore, before that. I don't care if you guys flame me or not, but I feel that Revis is considerably over rated.....
