and with the free for all still going on up front, DB's may STILL have to over indulge in run support. That will keep them hobbling and ailing in the back. Until we know that the DB's can consentrate on coverage ( proof of a pass rush and speed on the edges ), we may need good depth across the back, AGAIN.

I like it. Payton is staying true to form. Every since he got here he has been bringing in corners and trying to upgrade the CB position. He knows that our corners have an injury history and doesn't want to bring in players off the street later.

I don't know about pushing for a starting job. While he has all the speed in the world, he doesn't have instincts to be a above average starter in this league like a Greer and Porter. If anyone is going to push those two for a starting spot, it's going to be Robinson. Washington is a capable corner... not someone I'd want starting.

Should be a good backup and special teamer here.
