I saw all of his home games (so far). We ALL liked him from the very beginning in 2005. Unfortunately, he had that season ending injury in the preseason of 2006 that kept him beched for the entire season.
After that, he returned with a vengeance! He was a demon on Special Teams and came in handy as a running back and receiver. I have some favorite moments of Sproles. Two in particular are in the 2007 playoffs in Indianapolis when a short pass lead to a touchdown. The other is the game winning run in the playoffs against the Colts.

Though last season, he was terrible. I think we overpaid him. Too many fumbles for a guy that was making 6 million. To the point where he lost his starting position as kickoff/punt returner. I won't miss him at all this season.

Anyway... I hope he can regain what he had with you guys and even more. Here's to a great season!
Now, if we could just get a few of those cheerleaders of yours....

Three whole fumbles and a fan turns on a player?

Really? Three?

I'd bet large sums of money you'd fumble every single time.

If our coaching staff likes him, so do I.

Geaux Sproles.

Three fumbles in one year? Didn't Bush have a 3 fumble game or two?

This is almost vaguely kind of on topic, but I'm sharing it anyway.

Looks to me like the full back was responsible for that. He should have picked up Lewis from the beginning. And not that hard of hit either. I've seen way worse....

Hello all. Following Sproles since College. I read some comments and agree with alot of them. Offensively sproles numbers are pretty consistent. Last year Special teams were not good. I watched every game and can tell you its not all sproles. SD special teams were horrid last year and when they inserted a new PR they did get better returns but KO was pretty consistent no matter who had the ball. SD turned on sproles when AJ put the tag and sproles got the huge contract. Exciting player to watch.

Agree 100%...I have watched every SD game for the past 4 years (since Paul Oliver signed with them)...Special teams was an absolute mess last year! Sproles is very consistent and can brake one at any time. He is awesome to watch and I cant wait to see what he can bring to the table in NO.
