That would be good news. He is a solid backup and I like the sets when he comes in and we run the ball.

Keeping most of last years team intact is always good news, especially with the lockout this year

I hope he catches a TD pass this year.
Saints agreed to terms with OT Zach Strief on an undisclosed contract. The five-year veteran didn't draw a tender from the Saints in March, but he ended up unrestricted anyway. He's likely returning to back up Jermon Bushrod and Jon Stinchcomb at a salary closer to $1.5 million. Source: Mike Triplett on Twitter |

I personally believe the Saints would be better with him starting at RT. I think Stinchcomb is a good player and a great locker room guy. But, I truly believe Strief is a better RT. He's a mauler in the run game and has held his own at LT facing some great pass rushers like Peppers.

I agree that he is a solid tackle, let him battle for the starting position and the better man will get the starting spot. |

Stinchcomb will probably be healthier and therefore a better player than last year. I like when we bring Strief in the game......something good is usually going to happen.
